Britain has “one person, one vote”, twice over. Everyone gets one vote in the general election and MPs get one vote in the House of Commons. All votes count equally in each case. 

Every voters’ vote should count equally. 

But MP’s votes should not count equally - because every voter should be represented equally in parliament.

This is not a call for direct democracy, referendums, or proportional representation. Instead, I propose…
